Bad Company 2: In Good Company.
Bad Company 2? Yes? It’s excellent. I’m playing the PC Multi-player Beta for this beautiful looking beast of a man-shoot. Or at least I’m trying to play it. Crippled by lag, so far I’m not sure if anyone can play it without time travelling across the map. The servers are having trouble at the moment and it’s being worked on. It’s early doors, this sort of...

Mass Effect 2 Collectors Edition. Beautiful.
What an object of desire and utter beauty I found when I opened my package in the mail this morning. It’s Mass Effect 2 and it’s finally here. It’s been worth the wait. The general colour scheme is dark blacks and reds contrasted with warm/burnt orange on a very shiny outer box. Perhaps too shiny in some places. A terrible photo, excuse this. The back of the outer box...

Psychonauts For Hardly Anything At All.
Don your goggles and reach for your thinking caps. Look out! It’s Psychonauts! Psychonauts is the happy-go-lucky failure/success story of a game that when it first came out nobody bought it. Nobody cared for some reason and it didn’t sell very well. Then after a while people moaned/shouted/cried/ about how lovely it was and ACTUALLY played it. People began to realise how good it was...

Fun In The Sun.
What a feeling. I’ve finished Fallout 3. What a helluva relief. Whew! It’s not been a terrible experience trudging through the Capital Wasteland, not at all. I’ve really enjoyed/endured my 60+ hours. I’m in love with it yet I deeply hate it at the same time for the sheer amount of effort you have to put in to really enjoy yourself. It’s been broken in some instances...

Gaming Lately and Fallout 3 Screenshots.
I’m waiting for Mass Effect 2. I’ve had a gaming lapse of late what with finishing The Saboteur and becoming slightly delusion-ed by such an underwhelming experience. I ordered a Joystick/Flight-stick to finally play some of the flight simulators I’ve had laying around my house. They all feel like they are missing something. That ‘thing’ is a joystick. I actually...

Final Verdict: The Saboteur.
No Saboteur, I shall not be playing you again anytime soon. I’m disappointed. I feel that I’ve been let down by The Saboteur in many of it’s main, key features. Such as the lack of an enjoyable story (which spiraled out of control and was heavily cliched drivel) or the absence of a likable protagonist (whose foul mouth and terrible accent made me sigh with contempt every time...

Men o' Waaaaaaaaaar!
Yarrrrrgh!!! Men of War: Red Tide is immensely awesome. I lost a few hours last night just enjoying myself. I became engrossed and time just flew by. I thought the first Men of War was something special and yes, yes it is. This is more of the same awesome with slight AI problems for example, the path-finding is a bit wank sometimes. I forgive this as it is highly enjoyable. Such realism and...

Lovely Weather in Paris.
I want to write about The Saboteur but I feel like I’ve only scratched the fascist surface of this huge open world Nazi monster. It is undoubtedly an aesthetically beautiful game but not without it’s flaws. A breathtakingly visual game when it wants to be. The textures are sometimes rather low quality and in some places they even disappear into a large black nothingness. This...

Rule and Rush. Prepare to drop the nostalgia bomb.
This came in the post today. Command and Conquer: The First Decade. !!!Warning!!! !!!Obligatory Post!! Red Alert 2 Hell March theme. HERE! A huge image to resemble a massive amount of games merged together in one tight package. Oooh. It’s a meaty Command and Conquer package. I hope that has you in the mood for some commanding and conquering. Those of you familiar with this long...

Sales and the possibly burnt holes.
Valves digital distribution service. My preferred choice. My wallet is fine. My credit card is still alive and I’m rather pleased with myself. My cholesterol however is through the roof. Too many salty snacks during Christmas. This is not relevant. What’s relevant is Steam has been having a sale for the Christmas period and I’ve bought so many games I’m practically set...
