world when it was initially released in 2009 getting generally mixed reviews. A sequel to the wonderful <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Return_to_Castle_Wolfenstein">Return to Castle Wolfenstein</a>, a classic game for many people including myself. According to Activision it did not meet sales expectations and they laid off some employees from the creators Raven Software. Now they have them making Call of Duty DLC. A sad fate for such a creative developer. It’s a shame because it’s not a bad game at all.</p> <p>Generic WW2 shooter on the surface eventually gives way to more science fiction experimentation and horrific occult scenery, something which was always a strong point of RTCW. Shooting men is adequate enough but once you get some of the more sci-fi weaponry and start encountering otherworldly beasties it turns into far more engaging experience.
